Tornado Damage in Charlotte NC - Reedy Creek

A few nights ago a Tornado touched down in East Charlotte NC uprooting trees, destroying (or causing major damage to) homes, knocking out power and injuring folks while they slept in the wee morning hours on Saturday, March 3 2012. I know this area of town quite well and the people there, I owned a home a few blocks away from where the Tornado hit but had moved from that neighborhood back in 2008 to another area of Charlotte.

I still have many friends in the area around Harrisburg Rd and Reedy Creek as my children went to elementary school there for many years and still visit those friends.
